
Kirinyaga County Deputy Governor Peter Ndambiri will be battling with his boss Governor Ann Waiguru for the counties top seat in the August polls.
Ndambiri will be running for the governor’s seat under Jubilee Party seat together with Senator Charles Kibiru to unseat Waiguru who is in the United Democratic Alliance (UDA).
Nominations
Speaking during Jubileee Party officials meeting in Ndia, Ndambiri called out the officials to conduct credible and transparent nominations.
“We do not want to see favourtism during the party primaries.The nominations should be free and fair,” he said.
Ndambiri asked for a negotiated democracy which will give those who lose in the primaries given position else where in the government.
“Those who will lose in the primaries should be considered for appointment in various government positions,” he added.
The Jubilee party led by it’s Kirinyaga County chairman Muriithi Kangara assured the aspirants of fair party primaries.
“I want to assure the Deputy Governor Ndambiri that nominations for jubilee party across the country will be fair. We will neutral during the whole process,” said Muriithi.
