Sports Cabinet Secretary Amina Mohammed has been urged to address issues raised by FIFA which led to ban of Kenya from international football.

Thika Queens Team Manager Glenston Muganga raised the concerns pushing for the formation of a Normalization Committee to hasten the situation.

Muganga further cited that situation could affect players especially those who are at their prime.

Queens were set to represent the country in the next Council of East and Central Africa Football Associations(CECAFA) club championship after they won Women Premier League last season.

A ticket that they are worried they could loose if the issue not taken seriously.

“This might be difficult for the players who were selected in national team for the first time having not played in the African Women Cup of Nation(AWCON) qualifiers and now at the club level. It is hard for one to take it psychologically, although we are trying to talk to them,” said Muganga.

“It has not been easy to them and they really need this kind of support from people who understand them,” he furthered.

He however believes all is not lost as long as the CECAFA championship participation is concerned that is if the  government will resolve the issue with FIFA without delay.

“It is important for the ministry to move with speed and cooperate with FIFA, if that is done in time, we might be able to play in the tournament, which could happen in May, this year,” said Muganga.

This call comes at a time when Amina is not showing any signs of relenting, saying the house must be cleaned by the time normalcy resumes in Kenyan football.
