Mandera County was the third county to receive a new entrant in the race to clinch the county’s top seat as East African Community (EAC) Cabinet Secretary Adan Mohamed resigned to seek the position.

This changes saw Eugine Wamalwa moved from the Devolution to the Defence Ministry while Monica Juma was transferred from Defence to Energy.
“Today, however, I’m resigning from my office to focus my energy on contesting for the seat of the governor of the great county of Kericho on August 9, 2022 general elections,” said Keter as he resigned from office.
